They’re here! They’re fresh, modern, and even a little retro. Here are the Spring 2020 bridal trends you’ve been dying to get your hands on.

1. Retro Glam

The nostalgic theme strikes again, and it spans from Old Hollywood elegance to Studio 54 panache. While these are two different aesthetics, they both feature a sleek array of clean lines (hello, slip dresses and plunging V-necks!). Sprinkle on a little shimmer or add 70’s-inspired fringe for extra flair.

2. Colored Dresses

This year’s bridal trends are all about making a statement. And what better way to break the rules than with a colored dress? From nude to pastels, dusty rose and orchid, choosing a colored wedding gown has never been easier. Which brings us to the next trend…

3. A Dash of Black

Because sometimes, one color just won’t cut it. Go with the daring sum of all pigments (read: black) and add it in the form of a sash or black floral embroidery. This will create some bold contrast and you still get to wear white (win-win!).

4. Higher Necklines

Last year was all about the mock neck. And although this trend is still going strong, this season we have a few other high necklines joining the party. Think halter, bateau and menswear-inspired collars for a style that is both regal and modern.

5. More Volume

Turn up the volume, please—things are about to get more statement-ish. Volume comes in myriad forms, from the ball-gown dress silhouette to puffy, sculptural sleeves. We’re not shying away from ornamental details, either—turn your flat florals into 3-D pieces for instant trend points.

6. Raised Hemlines

They’re flirty, fun & totally fab. Shorter hemlines can be anything you want them to be, and with friendly spring temps, what’s not to love? Think a high-low hem or an over-the-knee dress for a seasonally-relevant look.

7. Reinvented Capes

Are you tired of capes yet? Good, because we aren’t either. The best thing about this season’s capes is that they’re all about the unique riffs on previous iterations. While they may seem familiar, they’re bringing something different than seasons past (we’re looking at you, mock-neck lace capes).

Pro-Stylist Tip: While this list isn’t an exhaustive representation of what we saw on the runway, we’re loving the fashion-forward potential of these trends. We also saw a few other recurring trends, such as exposed corset and sheer-everything. Tell your Stylist what you’re loving and add it to your spring gown!
